    Circle of Independent Learning (COIL) is an independent study, personalized learning, K-12 public charter school. COIL’s mission is to provide a “circle of learning” where the student, parent, advisory teacher, and support staff work together to address the needs of each individual student.

    We hold meetings often throughout the school year, so please check back for future dates if needed. Students are not required to attend with the parent/guardian, but they are welcome to do so if desired. 

    Attending an information meeting does not mean placement at COIL. Please be aware that enrollment is dependent upon space being available.  If space is not currently available you have the option of being placed on a waiting list until an opening becomes available.   • Urgent Legislative Action Needed: Oppose AB 1316

    Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell (D—Long Beach) recently amended AB 1316, a bill that would impose a vast and devastating array of new restrictions and costs on California’s charter schools. We are writing to urge you to submit a letter of opposition no later than Tuesday, April 20, 2021. [For Fullerton and Ventura/Santa Barbara constituents: We also urge you to contact Assemblymembers Quirk-Silva/Bennett, who serves on the Education Committee and will vote on the bill on April 28.]

    A General Governance Council meeting will be held on April  20th, 2021. The agenda can be found Link 72 hours prior to the meeting date.   You will find the link to the Zoom meeting included in the agenda. The open study session begins at 9:30 a.m. and the open general meeting begins at 10:00 a.m. 

     

     

    Upcoming Meetings:   May 18th, June 1st, June 15th & June 18, 2021.

    General Council Meetings are held every 3rd Tuesday of each month with the exception of June 2021.
