COIL Governance Council Overview
The COIL Governance Council, a site-based decision-making body, is responsible for charter accountability, modification, and evaluation of the effectiveness of the charter school. The Council is made up of one(1) to four(4) COIL parents, one(1) to four(4) members from the community, the school's executive director (non-voting member), and three (3) teacher advisors (non-voting members). Actualizing the goals of the school's mission and charter is a priority of the Council, and the Council will provide guidance and support to achieve this.
All COIL community members are welcome to attend monthly Governance Council Meetings. Dates are posted on the COIL website. Parents interested in applying for membership on the council need to attend at least one council meeting and should read the COIL School Charter and Governance Council Policy.
