COIL Governance Council Overview
The COIL Governance Council, a site based decision making body, is responsible for charter accountability, modification and evaluates the effectiveness of the charter school. The Council is made up of three COIL teachers, three COIL parents, three members from the community and the school's executive director. Actualizing the goals of the school's mission and charter is a priority of the Council, and the Council will provide guidance and support to achieve this.
All COIL community members are welcome to attend monthly Governance Council Meetings. Dates are posted here on the COIL website. Parents interested in applying for membership on the council need to attend at least one council meeting and should read the COIL School Charter and Governance Council Policy.
